busy week

We had a lovely cold front move in this week, which perked everybody up!  Oreo was super playful yesterday.  This morning, we went for a nice hike.

The Preserve had added a trail loop this week, so we got to try it out.
We had the place all to ourselves this time....no cars in the parking lot.

The dogs have had a very busy week.  On Wednesday they had to have fasting pre-op bloodwork done, because they are going to have their teeth cleaned soon.  Tuesday night, we had an agility trial in the super hot weather.  Chewy hardly wanted to move.  But he was a trooper and played along.  Luckily, it wore both dogs out, and they slept in real late on Wednesday.  They definitely were not happy about not getting breakfast, but at least they weren't staring at me for three hours while we waited for our appointment.  I've never had a vet request fasting bloodwork before.  I think it was harder on Jeff than the dogs, because Jeff loves to give them cheerios in the morning.

Happy weekend everyone!  My hammock is calling me....

Fasting is hard on us - we all do it. There is nothing worse than trying to eat breakfast with a starving, to weak to beg puppy, watching you...

I fasted with them! Felt so bad. I brought them outside while Jeff ate his cereal.

Fasting is so tough. We've been getting our wild on inside in the A/C

I never heard of fasting blood work on dogs either. Hmmmm.

we have never had to have fasting blood work done - have had to pre-op fasting because the anesthetic tends to upset puppy tummies - but not blood work - weird. Those are wonderful photos - what a wonderful place to go walkies

Glad there were no mystery cars in the parking lot. Was beginning to think u might have to get Scooby to check out the place to solve some mystery.

Oh and that fasting sounded horrible. Hope u got bonus treats after the bloodwork.

Good luck with having your turn on the hammock. Oreo and Chewy look wonderfully happy in all of these photos. They make me smile, too.
Aloha.

love how they both pose for the camera, such handsome boys! Ugh...Dakota has to have a cleaning late summer or early Fall...hoping he doesn't have to fast for bloodwork but I bet he will
