tricky t-day ~ we keep going backwards

Chewy's got his backwards 8's!  So proud of him.

Helen commented last week that she's impressed I can have both dogs in the same room when doing tricks.  Well, as you'll see in this video, it isn't always easy!!!  When you've trained both dogs to love their mat, sometimes it is hard to get them off of it.  They can't decide which is more rewarding, staying on the mat, or playing with me.

I've tried crating them or putting them in separate rooms, but they still keep going to check out what their brother is doing.  Kinda cute.

So, here's a behind the scenes look, and Chewy's fabulous backward 8.

Thats so great. That happens to me sometimes with trying to release the dogs from the crate. They keep going back in when I go to release the next dog. LOL

That video cracked me up! Sometimes when hubby is trying to work with Morgan, he gets interference from the Greyhounds. It becomes a session in herding cats!

We liked how Oreo looked like he was smacking his lips while Chewy was working. Maybe u gave oreo a treat just before hand, but it looked cute. It looked like Oreo was saying to himself- move over Chewy and let me show u how its done. The reward is so close- i can just taste it.

The boys are adorable! Nice work Chewy, I think you've got it! Oreo, you are just too smart for all that figure 8 work aren't you. You can get a treat by sitting still!

Wow Chewy you did that effortlessly! I greatly enjoyed watching Oreo's expression while he was watching Chewy. Oreo had such a wise expression on his face!

that's some crazy rear end awareness! I need to teach Luna the mat idea, she could use some mat relaxing associations to calm her while we try and work on stuff.
