october

Well, October has sure proven itself to be the most dynamic month of the year.
October 1st

October 7th

October 13
October 19

October 26

Tomorrow, I'm going to try and remember to take a photo of our creek before Sandy arrives. I fear there may be a dramatic "after"! Fingers crossed that Sandy's not as much of a drama queen as Irene.
remember this?

The gully is really pretty in October! I read a news article that said biggest storm in 30 years and that they are not over-hyping - haha!

This is always the time I wish I lived in a country with four seasons. You've got beautiful pictures of your gully.

Hope Sandy is a gentle queen! Stay safe!

that is an awesome change of color - we have been stunned how gorgeous it is around us this year. last year the leaves just turned brown and fell off - but this year we have all the fall colors. Hope you escape the worst of the flooding and that your bridge survives this time.

The gully DID change a lot in the few weeks of October! And if you hadn't taken several pictures we might not have seen it all. I hope the storm misses you and/or turns out to be nothing much. Stay safe!

You certainly did get a lot of color change! I love the spring and fall changes every year, and I'm glad we live in a place where we can enjoy all four seasons.

Wow! Can't believe so many leaves turned colors in just a few days. Amazing. It's like things changed in a blink of an eye! Whats that color on the bird feeder on Oct 13th. Do you put corn or something on it -- or is it just the light making it look brighter. We hope Sandy doesn't make as much a mess as Irene did. Be safe. (Mommy bought us a big bag of dog food and bottled water, just to be safe!)

The 13th was a tough day to take photos! Unusually sunny, so I think it is just a sunspot on the feeder.

That's quite a dramatic change. And without the pictures showing the differences, you wouldn't even have really noticed.
