goofball

Oreo is such a goofball.  Whenever he gets near my car, he circles and circles until I open the door, then he jumps right in. Even if I'm not going anywhere!

Jeff opened his truck door the other day to grab something, and Oreo leaped inside (which is pretty darn high).

Today, I parked my car in the garage because of the storms.  Oreo circled and circled, and finally I let him in.

He's been "playing" in the car for 20 minutes now.  Refuses to come out.

I really don't get it.  Whenever we go anywhere in the car, he hates to get out!  Maybe he likes the ride?  Should I drive him around the block, like when you try and get a baby to fall asleep?

LOL, at least he likes the car. Miley isnt to much of a fan of the car. Today I went up to NC for an agility class. We didnt get enough running time, so she wouldnt come to me to put her leash on. Then she laid down in the middle of the building floor and stayed there. Even when I left to go to my car to put my stuff away. I came back and she was still in the same spot. Not even worried I was leaving without her. LOL Shelties, they have their own agenda.

Oreo is a goofball and I agree Shelties have their own agenda and are stubborn! Did Oreo finally come out or is he still in the car? :)

Yes, he finally came out!

Maybe he thinks he's old enough to learn how to drive :-)

Cars take his mom and dad away from him so if he gets in the car he knows he goes with you. Reilly does exactly the same thing :)

Awwe! I love it! I think you should take him for a ride. With our fearful pups I think we should indulge anything they enjoy, don't you? The things they really get joy out of are so much less than "normal" dogs. He may be a goof, but he's a cute one!

Funny Oreo!

Oreo is so funny!

Eva loves car rides but she always decides whether she wants to leave or stay in the car whenever we come to a destination. If it is her groomer's, she will refuse to leave her crate; if it is her familiar parks, she gets out of the car immediately. Eva always circles and makes a lot of noise whenever my husband is washing his car. So, sometimes KK will let her stay in the car when he is washing it. It is like she is in the auto-carwash centre : )

Katie LOVES to go for a ride. Sometimes when we're headed outside to do her job, she'll go stand by the back of any vehicle, hoping it's her car and the gate will open and she'll get to go go GO! Unless she thinks she's going to the groomer. Then she goes and hides in the bedroom. Yep. They've got their own agendas for sure. And stubborn? The definition of stubborn is SHELTIE!

Our neighbors dog does the same thing. They leave the door open (her husband disconnected all the electrics in the door so the battery doesn't go dead) and the dog spends hours in there. I think for them though, since the dog has a history of escaping and running off it gives them a little peace!

That's totally adorable! Ludo the car too, but he loves getting out at the end even more.

Hi Y'all!

Just trying to get around and visit all my friends I've been missing. Hope y'all are havin' a great day!

When I try to follow my own agenda, it usually backfires and I get left behind!

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

I agree with Chris and Ricky about "Shelties being stubborn and having their own agenda" lol. This was too adorable.

I think for Oreo, it's not about the destination...it's the JOURNEY lol

Sara, you need to get a new car for yourself now -- looks like Oreo claimed that one for himself!

That's too funny, and kind of adorable. I love how happy he looks!

Shiva loves going in the car as well, but I think her love has more to do with her fears of being left behind.

Ha! Ha! What a cute quirk! Maybe he just really likes the "ambience" of your car! :-)
