mishmash monday

I've been attempting to take photos of all my new bird friends at my feeders. Unfortunately, a lot of my photos turn out like this:

I think birds are more difficult to photograph than two insane dogs!

Anyhoo, I'm becoming well acquainted with the resident wildlife.  I've even been sneaking the chipmunks food when the squirrels aren't around. Why are chipmunks worthy, and squirrels aren't?

I have thought about buying (or making) this squirrel trapeze feeder for my amusement:
Oh the fun!

I'll have to take your word for it -- that there were actual birds in those blurry photographs. LOL

Chipmunk (or Chippers as my father-in-law used to call them) are cute. And they don't climb up to feeders. Squirrels' cuteness wears off after about 50 pounds of seed has been stolen. I have several unsuccessful bird photos as well. But we can hope!

Yes, squirrels are greedy little bastards. Luckily, my baffles are still baffling them.....

The birdie pictures are QUITE artistic! LOL!

I think your squirrels look better than my squirrels which are in very dark brown, skinny and NO fluffy tails.

Hi Y'all,

Ah, my Human discovered that chipmunks carry deer ticks and live in tunnels that they sometimes make underneath your house foundation. Last year she was putting seed out for the birds but the chipmunks vacuumed it up.

Just wanted to stop by to see if y'all had a fun weekend. Hope so! Wishin' y'all a great week and a wonderful summer! Stay cool!

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

Katy and Bailey seem to keep the squirrels under control. They find them fun to chase.

LOL, I dont know what type of camera you have but (if you can) change it to manuel focus.
You pictures are creative looking.

Good idea Diana! My big lens seems really confused about what to focus on (plus, I'm shooting thru dirty glass windows). I'll try switching to manual mode and see if I can get better results.

Ha, I don't even bother trying to photo the birds that come to my feeder. They're too fast for my poor little camera!
