tricky t-day ~ twirl (kinda)

After many, many weeks of trying to get my dogs  to move forward on new tricks, I decided to switch it up and teach them tricks that are more fun and almost innate.

For example, Chewy has loved to stand on his hind legs since birth.

I decided to add a twirl to that.

Of course, he did it perfectly every time we practiced when the camera was OFF!  As soon as there was pressure to perform, he had no brain.  Or perhaps (more likely), he still doesn't understand what I'masking for. More work to do.

Anyhoo, I thought this video was entertaining, especially when Oreo kept trying to figure out what the trick was too. Oreo isn't a hind leg stander, so I never bothered to teach him.  Maybe I should!

I promise, next week we will have a more polished trick by Oreo!  Hint...it's an alternate version of his favorite trick.

Awww...was fun seeing the little bundle of energy he was as a puppy and look how he's gotten all grown up and can twirl now!

It's always fun to see how happy Chewy is all the time and always feel like giving Oreo many many hugs!

Aww! He was such a cute little fuzz ball! How can he be a grown up boy already? That trick is so darned cute!

Isn't is funny the traits that doggies have and don't have. Reilly had never been a bouncy jumper - but Denny loves it. I think Chewy will have that twirl perfect in no time, he is such a clever little guy

Chewy is very entertaining :) I have the same problem with Sonic. Whenever the camera is out, he can't get anything right :) I think the boys are camera shy LOL

I'm just always impressed you can train two at the same time. They sure are cute.

Oh my goodness – I could barely believe that was Chewy in the first video! I can't believe what a short time ago that he was that little puppy! How quickly time has flown! :-)

Twirling on the hind legs is always such a cute trick! :-) Especially with a smaller dog. Sadly, any hind leg standing tricks are always out for us – Honey is just TOO top heavy!! :-)

PS.have you seen the new online cookery challenge on you Tube? We got invited by the person hosting it to join and also set some challenges. I thought of you wondered if you would be interested in it as well – it's quite good for inspiring and motivating you to do new tricks. Not that you need – you always seems so full of good ideas. I've been feeling really jaded recently and couldn't think of anything to teach Honey – so this has been good for me. We have joined are going to try to match some of the challenges – and also sets of are all! Anyway – let me know if you're interested and I'll send you the link! :-)

ARGH!! ARGH!! ARGHH!!!STUPID voice recognition software! That should have been "Online CLICKER Challenge" - not COOKERY!!! Sigh. Just want to bash my head on the keyboard sometimes. Am typing this the old way...this is why I can't be bothered to use the stupid Dragon Speak most of the time and would rather just suffer the pain of RSI!!!!!
