tricky t-day ~ side step

OK, this isn't a fancy video, but at least it is something!

Oreo's favorite trick in the world is "cross paws".  It is his goto trick.  Since we were at a stand still progressing on other tricks, I decided to do variations on his favorite.

Here he is learning to side step with a cross.  Hoping to teach him to stay with me for multiple steps and circle as well.  Maybe even "criss" the other way instead of cross.

You guys should do canine freestyle. I think Oreo knows many of the tricks already.

Looks like you are dancing together already, I love it.

All he needs is a top hat to pull off a Fred Astaire routine! That is adorable! :)

Looking good there Oreo! Fancy footwork! Not sure which dance you could put that move to -- maybe the Electric Slide -- call it the Sheltie Slide and I'm sure it will be a big hit at any party!!!

It is cute how he raises his leg up so high esp at first, remnds me of those horses with the pretty high steps, Oreo is such a little superstar!

Oh my God - that would make the most AWESOME, COOLEST dance step!!!!! :-) Trust Oreo to take a boring side-step and make it amazing! Am so jealous - I would love to teach that variation to Honey. Actually, so far, we haven't worked on her side-stepping AWAY from me - only towards me...maybe something to work on. Especially if we could add this fancy cross paws/pivot/twist thing that Oreo is doing too! :-)
