misty monday~the end!

These are the last photos of Misty, taken a few days before she died.   We were very lucky that Misty's illness came on suddenly.  I feel Misty led a good life up until her last two days.

These photos speak for themselves.

This is our last official Misty Monday (although don't be surprised if she pops back in now and then).

Thanks for taking this year long memorial journey with me.

Misty will always be in my heart. She was a sweet, easy going, gentle spirit, who always had a tail wagging grin.

I miss you Misty~girl, especially our cuddles on the couch and your loud sighs of contentment.

Oh Misty, remember when we used to call you "tank", because you pushed Munchkin out of the way whenever I showed him any attention? You were a girl who knew how to get what you wanted.  You charmed every one.

I remember the first day I saw you.  It was love at first sight.  I said to your daddy, "Look how she prances!"  Then, you proceeded to prance down our driveway, toward the busy road, and Daddy had to chase you down.

I don't know how your previous owner gave you up, but it was one of the best things that ever happened to me.

Misty, we will never forget you. You were, without a doubt, the best dog ever.

She's got me all Misty-eyed again. Isn't it something how she's grabbed hold of the hearts of so many people and never let go. I know you miss her. We're just glad you shared her with us. Hugs.

I am smiling through the tears. Misty, you were truly the best. So glad we vacationed with you and Misty and Oreo in Maine and Plymouth where we got to take walks along the beaches and in the woods or where we sat on the deck with Misty under my chair. She was definitely your girl but sometimes she let me think I was okay too. Miss you Misty Girl.

Misty has a beautiful face and is a beautiful dog. She was so lucky to have you as her humans, to adopt her at just the perfect time in her life. It's hard to imagine that she has been gone for one year! Be strong...

Very beautiful video. Of course Mommy has a tear in her eye watching it. A good tear in the eye -- not that sad kind of tear in the eye. Life is so precious -- cherish every memory. Mommy isn't really in the blogging mood with Grandma in the hospital and all -- and really doesn't know what to say except your video is helping Mommy cherish the moments. Grandma is in a lot of pain with the surgery -- but your video makes Mommy remember life is full of good and bad moments -- it's best if we hold on and cherish the happy memories. Grandma will get well soon. Thanks for sharing the Misty Monday posts with us. Very inspirational!

Hard to believe it has already been a year since Misty's passing. I haven't commented often lately, but I've always read your "Misty Monday" posts. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

Every once in a while we get ultra special dogs come into our lives....I have had dogs since I was 5 years old and in my life time have had 3 that are really special - including Reilly. One thing I can tell you - you NEVER forget them - no matter how years pass by. My memories of my first special dog "Chips" are still as clear now 40 later as they were when he was alive. Misty will always be there with you - of that there is no doubt.

I hadn't realized that it was just a year since she passed away. I remember the first year after I lost Treat was tough for me. Sometimes I still miss her! I've loved seeing Misty on Mondays! :) She was a beautiful girl, inside and out!

Oh my...you have me bawling like a baby over here...no more blog reading for me tonight...this touched my soul and there is nothing else I feel like reading.

I had called my husband into the room to read this to him and couldn't finish, that was BEFORE I watched the video...that did me in.

I am so glad that you posted about Misty every Monday because I found your blog after you started and I didn't have a chance to know her. I have so enjoyed these posts. Please still continue to feature her occasionally.

She was truly your "Soul Sheltie" thank you for sharing your heart and soul with us
(((((hugs))))))

Sara....that video was just the best one I have seen in awhile. I know those special pupparoos...I know how they touch your heartstrings and the loss in our lives is just so sad to take.

The dancing in your yard had me captivated. Just so beautiful you and she.

I am very, very glad to have found your blog. I may get behind on reading but I always go back and read up where I might have missed. You give me the kick in the butt to see such dedication and what you teach your Mr. Chewy and Mr. Oreo...

Misty forever...in all our hearts by what you have shared..... thank you.

Oh Misty....

Yes, she lived a wonderful, full life and was loved every moment - well, with you, anyway! I agree - can't understand how her previous owner gave her up.

Even though I haven't always had time to comment, I've loved the Misty Monday posts. When we started followed your blog, she was already quite an old girl - so it was wonderful to catch on up her life from the earlier times! :-)
