tricky t-day ~ cross paws

Took me forever, but Chewy finally got it!

Some of you have already seen this video on facebook.  Jeff got the backyard fenced in over the weekend.  He has the blisters on his hands to show for it.  One side of the fence goes thru the woods, so we can't even see it.  Plus, it gives the dogs an exploration area (kind of like our old dog garden).  I didn't realize how big the yard really was until I threw Oreo his ball.  He seemed so far away when he finally reached it.  I think I'm going to have to start feeding these guys more, given all the running they've been doing.

Looking forward to taking them sledding this winter!

Back to work today! Two days of conferences, then the kids come back on Thursday.

You did well getting him to cross feet. If he is anything like Tess his concentration span will be very limited. I'm sure they are going to love all that running around. Are they going to pull the sledge this winter?!!

Awesome!! Chewy knew how to cross - he just didn't know what you wanted him to do with the black thing!! He is too smart!

Back to work and settling into a new house and still you have a trick fro tricky t-day! Impressive. I am sorry about not playing along this summer - eventually maybe we will have a new trick to show.

Sara, I really love reading your blog and seeing all the photo's and video's - I am definitely going to teach Sparkle to cross her paws; it looks so cute when Chewy does it. :-)

He looks so cute crossing his paws! That is a really cute trick. You must have two very tired dogs at the end of each day!

You're just now starting school? Oh, I'm sorry! We've been in since July, and I'm so ready for Fall Intersession! I hope you have a great school year! :)

Oreo must be loving his freedom.

I just recently found your blog and I love all the videos of your pups. We will be having a Sheltie in our home come Oct / Nov (fingers crossed!) and I can't wait. We have had 3 Sheltie's in our married life and loved them all so dearly. Our boy died 3 years ago and when I saw your photos and videos it brought back fond memories. I know nothing of agility training so I am enjoying the process of teaching you are doing.

you did an amazing job with Chewy! I am still in awe of all that you do!

Your new back yard is HUGE!
Poor Dakota, he lives in a condo with no place to really run wild.

Good luck this year! Are you a teacher?

Your yard is huge! Wow. I am tired just from watching Oreo and Chewy running around. I can't imagine all the blisters from installing the fence around that huge yard. I know Mommy pulled weeds on Monday and she has one small blister on her finger. She says it isn't proper to show which finger she has her blister on. Installing an entire fence around that huge yard -- that must be a lot of blisters indeed. Hope the blisters heal fast!
