backyard agility

I set up the backyard agility exercises from this month's Clean Run.  I finally have a big enough yard to set all the jumps at the designated distance from each other.  Unfortunately, I was short one jump, so we did exercises 2 & 3, which we were able to do without one jump.

Oreo hasn't done much agility this summer, but he doesn't forget anything and is always a dream to run.  He reads my body language amazingly well.  He's such a great partner.  We'll have to do backyard agility on a more regular basis.  We are signed up for the DOCNA nationals in a few weeks.  I only signed us up for Saturday, which means we won't be able to compete in the final round.  Even though Oreo won last year, I thought three days was a lot for him(and me!).  This way, we can relax and run for fun.  Fingers crossed for good weather.

That looks like an absolute blast. So cool that you can have it set up in your back yard!

What a great back yard! And look how happy he is to run and jump with you! And little Chewy? Well he had his own kind of fun! (yum yum!)

Very nice video. That looks so hard! Mommy has no sense of direction -- Mommy would need GPS or something in order to navigate an agility course. I think I'll just sit on the sidelines with Chewy and eat treats.

Perfect yard for backyard agility!! Oreo did fantastic! And who needs a crate when there are Zukes to search for in the grass? :)

Boy, did Oreo ever read your body language beautifully for the push out to the green tunnel in the first exercise. That would make Beckett spin for sure, LOL. Love your back yard. Mines pretty big but I can do the layouts at the right distance.

You're new backyard is awesome. So glad everything went okay with the move. I've been off the blogs for a couple month and can't believe how much I've missed.
