thaw

My heart goes out to the people of Japan.  The loss and destruction is numbing.

When they call it the ring of fire, they sure aren't kidding.

On my side of the world, the weather has taken a turn for the better.  Turn your sound on.

Since we couldn't play in the back yard, Oreo and I practiced rally moves in the front yard.  It took him a few minutes to figure out what the heck we were doing on the front lawn, but then it seemed to click, "OH.  Those moves we do in the house?  You want me to do them HERE?  OK.  Why didn't you say so?"

The only thing that threw Oreo for a loop were the new orange safety barrels in the street (to alert people of the flooded road).  Oreo was a bit uneasy as to what they were, since he hadn't seen them before in that location.  Obviously, they were potential dangerous monsters.

Hi Sara, I'm glad the weather is picking up for you, its been a long winter over your way. I guess the cone thing does look a little scary and even more so if you don't know what it is.

We've sure got spring fever out here, but it's been beautiful here too!

That's awesome that you're practicing your rally skills in new places. I'm excited to see you two progress, sounds like you're really enjoying it so far!

Neat video - love hearing the sound of the creek then and now! All the creeks and rivers are so high here - really I have never seen them higher! And lots of grassy fields are now lakes.

Our backyard always thaws out long after our front yard. Wish it were the other way around but the front faces south and gets the winter sun.

Man, Miley would think that big orange monster would need barking at. LOL
It looks like your front yard needs a face lift. Its very wrinkly

Good one Diana :)

Your creek is magical.
I hope the sound and the groundhog are right. Spring will give the earth and us all a facelift.

I'd love having a creek like that near us!

Isn't it funny what they decide are scary and suspicious objects? I never know what Morgan will take a dislike to, either!

Hurrah! Spring! Arg, scary orange monster! I don't think I would like that either!

There is a great difference in that stream for a few days ago. Glad that the snow is melting. Poor Oreo that big thing is enough to scare him. Glad to see it warming up there.

It's a lovely video and the sound of the creek is so soothing, spring is here at last! Soon your yard will be full of green green grass and Oreo is running and playing happily there.
I guess Eva might like that orange monster as it's something new for her to bark at.

Oh Katie wouldn't like that orange thing either! Of course we in Michigan hate the orange things all summer for other reasons.

Love the creek! And good to do that Rally stuff in different places. Oreo is so smart he'll catch on right away!

Funny, we both felt the spring today!

ps; didn't mean to ignore the Japan thing...I'm watching the news now and it's painful. Don't know what we can do to help. They all need a hug.

those do look like scary orange monsters! Wow, that is so neat you having a creek behind your house, I have always thought that would be so neat. Good luck on the ouside rally

It's awful hearing about all the natural disasters lately; there's been loads, hasn't there?

But it's also lovely seeing how much the snow has melted for you guys! And I meant to offer a suggestion on your last post, but turned the computer off and forgot. If you're doing a lot of work where you need the clicker, have you tried substituting it (for a click with your tongue, a sharp 'click!', or similar)? I use a verbal marker for when the clicker just adds too much to what I'm holding. :)

My thoughts and prayers go out to Japan and all their loved ones. It really is sad.

Glad to hear spring is finally making its way to you. Hope it keeps coming!
