my new friends

Oreo has been barking his head off when I let him out in the morning.  One day this week, I saw what the commotion was about.  Last night, while Oreo was resting on the couch, I looked out the window and was able to shoot this video without Oreo even knowing they were there.

My neighbors always hated Misty, because she barked early in the morning. Well, Oreo is carrying on her legacy.

I would enjoy seeing those deer outside my window. I can see why Oreo has been having barking fits. They are a pretty good reason to get excited. Too bad the barking bothers your neighbors. My Sheltie is a yapper too and his barking bothers our neighbors, but my feeling is he's a dog - what do they expect him to do.

I want some new friends like that - how pawsome to look out the window and see them so close and what fun they would be to bark at.

watch out for deer ticks, especially you.

You often find that the people who complain about the dogs making a noise are the same people who spend all Sunday afternoon mowing their lawn. Your deer look good anyway Sara.

Cute movie Sara. I love deer. Good for Oreo keeping up for Misty. Good grief we have a cocker spaniel next door who can bark as loud as any larger dog. These dogs bark more that they used to. They both run slipping and sliding on the kitchen floor out their doggie door barking their head off about nothing most of the time. Woo unto a cat they see, they run and jump over the fence. So many strays. Helen

that is so neat, you live in such a beautiful place. Nice comment about squashed deer, oooh dear. Did you see there was a show on Animal planet called fatal attractions that had an episode about a guy who loved deer so he deceided to own one then ended up with a herd....and of course since that is not a good idea he ended up killed by one of his bucks, LOL. I like yours roaming behind your yard so much more, hahahaha

Having deer in your backyard is so cool until they start eating all of your flowers! But Oreo will keep them away! Jeff's commentary cracked me up - "there's plenty of them" - true but still!

That's so cool having the deer right there. At my last place a mother and her yearling came every day to lay in the sun in my nieghbours back yard. I'll have to post the photos.

Neat to have the deer so close by. I love watching wildlife :)

Wow, that's surreal. I love deer - so many people here consider them a nuisance, but I really enjoy seeing them :)

I do wish the monkeys that visit us are as tame and gentle like those deer.
By the way, Oreo does his job well :)

That's fantastic :) And I'm so jealous! All that visits us are birds and the occasional cat. The cats must be incredibly stupid though; I don't know why else they would trespass in a place where two terriers live!

Wow! I didn't see this before I posted about the deer at our feeder! :) No wonder Ricky said "First Sarah and now you guys!" LOL!
