misty monday~lake

My sister's inlaws were kind enough to let us visit and spend a few nights at their lake house...dogs included.  Alan's mom is an animal lover.

These were taken on a fourth of july weekend. The residents of the lake put on a fantastic display of fireworks.

Misty didn't think the fireworks were so fantastic. Neither did my nephew Theo. Alan brought Theo inside and up to his bedroom. Misty followed them in solidarity.

During the daytime though, she was a happy girl.

siamese dogs?
On the trip home...one of my favorite, favorite photos!  Look at how Misty is smiling in her sleep.

Wonderful pictures of happy Misty. The last two pictures of the two angels are beautiful and sweet!
I also realised lately that I'm looking forward to reading your Misty Monday though :).

Aww! Misty looks so happy - and fluffy, too! I love the photos of her and Munchkin, both the siamese one and the sleeping one :) They're both too adorable.

Hi Sara, what great photo's of Misty, she was such a happy dog wasn't she. From what you say it seems that Misty was not fond of bangs. What age did this fear develope? It's just that Tippy was okay until she was maybe 4 or 5 but then became very afraid of them and now the same thing has happened with Tommy. Up until last year he wasn't bothered at all but now he has become as bad if not worse than Tippy which is not good when you live on a shooting estate.

Anyway thanks for showing the pics of the lake and Misty, it looks a great place for both dogs and humans.

Rob,
When I got Misty she was 2, and already fearful of thunder and fireworks. Misty's previous owner had lost Misty for a few days, and I always wondered if there was a storm during that time when Misty was looking for her house.

I'm probably reading into things too much! Who knows!

My other dogs (Oreo included) have slept through noises.

What great photos, and what a nice trip that must have been! I'd love to be able to go away someplace like that for the weekend, not just with our dogs, but with a few others, too! Misty was beautiful!
