tricky t-day~mommy's helper

When Jeff threw his back out over the summer, I got roped into helping him put his socks on/off. After several days, I threatened to hire a cute home health aide..... a male one.

Time and some motrin helped the pain go away, and we didn't have to go that route.

Since then, I've heard from co-workers that home health care costs LOTS of money. Well, good thing I have a smart dog!

Ha! I love it! And Oreo looks so in to it. I 'd be afraid that Marge would offer it when I wasn't paying attention to her, though - she likes to run through the list of everything she knows (precisely why we haven't taught her to speak!)

Ah! What a smart Oreo! I think you need to switch to looser pairs of sock in future! Love it!

My mummy wishes I could do that and the ironing, washing, cooking, etc.

Oreo is a very helpful dog!! He did such a good job of pulling your socks off - he is a much better "puller" than me! Super cute video with the perfect music too!

(I don't believe that is it Tuesday again already!)

That's awesome, what a great little helper! He didn't give up on those tight socks either- what a good boy! I love the look on Misty's face the whole time :) She's so funny.

LOL Oreo is so good!!! like it sounds funny about Oreo being a good helper, but my friend Carol who recently died from ALS had taught her dog like closing doors and to pick up things and pull off socks, pick up things from the floor when Carol was very healthy and then when she got sick her dog became her service dog without a missed beat-it was really touching and neat to see how her dog was able to help her so much and it had all been fun tricks up until that point, watching Oreo brought a tear to my eye thinking of Carol and her JC ;-), made my morning to just see another dog with such a great bond to another great person with such a great bond with her dog and just having fun. Hope that makes sense!

Kathy's sharing this morning, has me crying, too. Thank you, Kathy. Oreo is precious. Now that he is an expert sock-take-er-off-er, I hope he only does it on command.

Oh! So cute & clever! Actually, what a coincidence coz my human was thinking of teaching me this trick too - we're going to get started once our dance performance is over!

Slobbers,

This had me rolling!! Oreo is clearly having a blast, which is the best part. But it also cracks me up the tricks we teach our pups, and how funny we think they are! I know plenty of people who spend most of their "dog training" trying to get their pups to STOP doing the things we are training ours to do!LOL Very clever!

Thanks for cheering my day. I have a Misty too, but she's not as smart as your two. My guess is you have a gift for teaching.
