tricky t-day ~ ???

OK, I'll admit, trick training has been at the bottom of the list the past few weeks.

However, Oreo has been giving me spontaneous "hugs" at times, like when I come home and he wants to play. I find it quite sweet when he puts his paws on my shoulders, so I thought, hmmm, can I put that on cue? Everyone needs a good hug once in a while, right?

Here's my attempt. Oreo thinks I'm more fun as a springboard, than something to hug. It is a good thing he's a little dog.

Hi Sara, I meant to say yesterday that I like your Christmas look you added to your blog. Thanks for the fun video, where was Misty? Great music too - it woke me up a treat!

Rob,
Misty was probably outside staying safely away from the jumping bean.

Cute! Mom used to try to get me to hug too - now I'll probably have to go back to working on that! Love the backwards weave at the end - it's definitely coming along!

He looked like he was having a great time with that one! I do the same thing to get Kona to put her paws on my shoulders. Unfortunately, she usually includes a paws to the face with it.

Is your header photo from this year?!

Sara said...

No, that photo is from last year.

Great trick. I'm trying to teach Beckett to leap up into my arms. I thinks its so cool when you've had a great agility run and the dog and handler do that at the end. So far not having much success. :-(

We would all love a hug from your lovable boy. The more you teach him, the more he is ready to learn.
Your place is a winter wonderland.

Hee! Hee! It's DEFINITELY a good thing Oreo's a little dog - as I can tell you from experience!! :-)

I have something similar I do with Honey - although I have to stand up to do it - and it's always a bit of a gamble whether she plonks a giant paw in your mouth!! :-)
