gone fishing

Took the dogs fishing this morning. Jeff caught two fish, a perch and a sunny, while I did a fiendish sudoku, and read Karen Pryor's latest clicker training book. Then, we had a picnic lunch.

The dogs enjoyed exploring the shoreline, and scaring away the other fishermen with their barking!

You're not supposed to go in this water, as it is our local drinking supply, but the dogs stepped in when they needed a fresh drink.

Kissing on the shoreline.

Oreo does some exploring.

Last year, Oreo needed to be coaxed into the reservoir. This year, he went in all on his own.
It is funny, we couldn't wait for the sun to come over the trees to warm us up today. Last week, we could barely go outside it was so hot! Strange how the weather can change so drastically in one week.

If you have the time, pop on over to Fizz's blog and see if you can recognize what he is playing with!

Also funny how Jeff couldn't catch a fish in Seneca Lake that if filled with trout and yet he catches 2 in your local reservoir! By next summer I expect Oreo will be swimming in the lake. It was a pretty outdoor day so glad you all got to enjoy it!

Lazy days of summer. Are the fish that Jeff caught dinner tonight?
Oreo and Misty certainly like to play in the water. The photos are wonderful. Seneca Lake was a good training ground.
I spy Fizz playing with something that is Oreo's favorite

Love the pictures of both dogs on the side of the water. Very nice. Hey Fizz took Oreo's ball. Diana

Soon Oreo will be the GREAT DIVING OREO! They are beautiful, both of them, sitting together by the water!

What a great way to spend a day! I've never been fishing (well, my humans wouldn't know how!) but it looks like great fun. Love the beautiful photos of you guys by the lake!
